Lauren’s writing explores memory, queer identity, trauma and the body, magic and mystery, and our relationship to the natural world.
Their practice has co-collaboration and generosity at the heart of it. They work with youth and community groups to deliver bespoke creative workshops.
They were selected for BBC North East Voices and their script reached the top 12% of the BBC Writersroom Open Call.
Their debut short film as a writer/director, Love Spell, was funded by BFI Network and screened at festivals internationally including LA Queer Film Festival and Cineffable in Paris.
Alongside writing, Lauren is training to be a psychotherapist.
They’re also a graduate of The Writing Squad.
