Waiting on It examines time and the pace of the everyday; the transitional space between something and nothing while we wait for a decision, a birthday, to be heard, the bus, a chance to dance, permission…

But it is in the waiting that I learned to have faith what I need will be found.”

Waiting on It was kindly supported by Alnwick Playhouse, Berwick Maltings, Middlesbrough Town Hall, Queens Hall Hexham, Tees Dance and was funded by Community Foundation Tyne and Wear, Northumberland County Council and supported by public funding by Arts Council England. Waiting on It toured the North East in collaboration with Roma, by Lo-Giudice Dance.

Waiting on It: The People and The Process

Waiting on It: The People and the Process was created by filmmaker Alex Ayre as a document of the process and project. Waiting on It had a core community focus, placing early career artists and community based co-creations at the centre of the project. In Waiting on It: The People and the Process, the artists, community dancers and audiences take the frame. Waiting on It was a project spanning three years and multiple forms. This short film documents that journey.
